  “I don’t like Tokyo anymore”

  Centuries of incomprehension towards women culminate onto Akiko. Although Ozu’s perspective seems unclear to me, I’d like to consider Tokyo Twilight a redemptive letter that conveys the aching humanity of many mothers, daughters and sisters.

Following
