Derivative, hollow and pretentious. If you are completely new to its subject-the classical music underworld-, it will have some efffect. As for its main character(Blanchett's Tár), themes and treatment, it is over the top, cartoonish, self-indulgent, self-conscient bookish and totally hoax. A pity the film it's not REALLY about all that falseness.
Running 2'50h wonderfull cinematography and good supporting performers won't justify it.
