Poetry 2010
This film sickened me in both the best and worst ways. It is equally broadly philosophical as it is acutely introspective- does art arrive in the absence of morality? More to the point, is ‘good art’ a manifestation of ugliness, above ‘art’ in response to beauty, a product of superficial profoundness? A poignant question of brutality staged within visuals of the ordinary. A must-watch if you need a good cry.
