I liked this one much more than the first one. While the first one was focused purely on the conversation of the characters and introducing their ideologies, etc, this movie had more things at stake.
It was kinda sad to see that Celine didn't bother meeting back up after 6 months. She gave a reasoning, but she didn't even bother coming a day later, whereas Jesse still took the time to travel all the way from the US and stayed…

Very refreshing film. No gimmicks or "loud" visuals to catch attention. Just two average people talking about life and its nuances. I like the juxtaposition of cynical and hopeful between the two main characters.

The main trope of the movie has been done countless times, however I think each iteration of this trope is interesting in how it explores different aspects/stories. At the core of all these movies, I think the main theme is self-improvement or growth. This is a given as the only thing to do when you are stuck in a time loop is to reflect on yourself and see how you can improve. That remains the case with this film.
