I'm Still Here 2024
Wow. A masterpiece of a movie that hit all the right notes. Felt so many emotions, felt so immersed in 1970s Rio, felt so invested in every single member of the family. A lovely, lovely film that I’ll cherish for a long time to come.
When we were leaving the theater we were talking about how foreign films have slower pacing in the best way. It was slow and steady, but never boring or plodding. Just the right speed to sit with things.
Think this film belongs in my top 20.
