After reading about the novel, I'm so disappointed in the message of this movie. I actually don't know what the message is... good things must come to an end when you're a "bad" person?
Apparently, the novel is about morality and respect for other life forms. They didn't do much at all to convey that to someone who wasn't looking for it. It was so difficult to find the focus of this movie; I would have enjoyed myself much more…

My qualms are with the music choices and lack of consistency with horror elements.
Multiple times, I was thrown off by the music. Having the lyrical aspect of the songs distracted me from the plot. The undertones were emotionally manipulative, which I appreciated, but I wish it were instrumental.

I am too stupid to understand all the nuances of this bizarre film. I'm not too stupid, however, to appreciate the gratuitous female nudity.
