looks exatcly like one of those bad james franco/seth rogen comedies people wouldn't care half as much, but somehow it got glazed by a pretentious coat so, whatever.
criticism is often backlashed by that "you just didn't get it/you got offended/no fun allowed" routine.
it's the typical trendy overrated movie with an annoying fanbase.
i kinda regret not skipping this one.
great acting from the cast, charismatic characters, easy-going storytelling...i'd say it is a very pleasant and well-made film, if not a bit too long.
your average oscar bait that doesn't bring anything new.
it all feels like a softer version of in pursuit of happyness.
probably the best lifetime picture out there.
in all seriousness though, great for better understanding how predatory social media works and how it shapes and deforms culture, society and politics.
the drama parts don't bring it down, if anything, they add to the humor.
