  freudian nightmare!!!! i watched this for the yves saint laurent costuming more than anything else and for good reason but i’m still not a fan. ngl it is disappointing how unsexy the whole thing is despite being a movie made by and for french perverts

  i spent so many months looking forward to finally watching this movie and i’m just unbelievably disappointed at how cruel it is. i did cry, and i was touched by a few moments but at the end of the day this movie is just so cruel in a way that makes me nauseous.

  unbelievably compelling and tragic while also insanely nauseating i dont know why i started my morning off with this. seriously a masterwork of body horror though i really really would like to write about this movie someday. cronenberg’s commentary on the flesh just goes absolutely nuts as always. as a movie about sex and illness and radical transformation i am just so fascinated… also oh my god jeff goldblum is like deliriously hot to me the first 30 or so minutes of this movie
