Star Trek 2009
It felt more like a marvel movie than a Star Trek movie… I know that’s kinda to be expected as when it was released, but still. It wasn’t bad though. It had a good story. What I didn’t like was the unnecessary romance between Spock and Uhura. It was cute but in the context of them being the tos characters, it just didn’t work. On the other hand, I love the backstory situation they gave Kirk.

Dune 2021
This movie was so unbelievably boring and unnecessarily long I almost fell asleep at least 3 times. Like I get it, you live in a desert and need spices, this could literally have been made into a short film. Boooo (my opinion here is extremely biased but like- if you want an interesting movie to watch this is not it)

To my surprise, the movie itself, the visuals and the music were actually very well done. BUT THAT STUPID PURPLE MONSTER RUINED THE WHOLE THING. Everytime an emotional/ pretty scene would happen, he would appear and I wanted to punch him the whole time. He tried to be the comedically- relieving character but he was just annoying. That purple monster is a 0/10
