  really, really convoluted. i had to google half of it while it was happening. in doing so, i learned that this is, in fact, a french film; i don't think audiard has ever been to mexico.

  edit: turns out, karla gascon couldn't actually sing her parts and they used ai cloning. i should think the fuck not! how is ai going to get 13 oscar noms!? -5 stars if i could.
