So good. Isabella Rossellini is incredible. Overall great casting. Wish this came out when I was in grade 12 so I could pick it for my colour theory essay in FTV. Every frame felt so deliberately sculpted it was really a work of art. The meetings in the auditorium, where the light creates an island of solitude in a Black Sea really contrast with the scenes in the chapels. It’s gorgeous.
The beautiful painted walls and ceilings of the chapels and halls next to the flurescenlty lit sterile hallways of the sequestered dorms just push the politics behind the front of the church.
