Watched this a few years ago. I really enjoyed this movie. I had no expectations going into the movie and was able to just experience it without bias. I thought the social commentary on class was very well done. Seeing the conditions at the start of the movie was eye-opening and I couldn’t help but root for the family of cons on their struggle for upward mobility. The ending of the movie kept me on my toes and was very enjoyable. I have since seen the movie a few more times and I find something new to focus on each time.

Joker 2019
I was always skeptical of this movie because of what Heath Ledger did with the character. I couldn’t see much room for improvement but I watched it with a curiosity about where the film might go. I found it hard to think of Joker as a movie from the Batman universe and thought of it more like an update of Taxi Driver. I don’t know where I heard that first but I think it fits. Joaquin Phoenix is at his best being this fantastically strange loner. The soundtrack was haunting and forlorn and fit the aesthetic of the movie.

Disappointing. The First Kingsman movie was fun to watch. There was exciting action and comedy that made the movie a success. There was less of this in the second and now the third installment is the worst of the bunch.
