  I just.... WOW. My jaw was dropped for the entire second half of the movie. The narrative had me on a leash and I was dying to find out what happened next. The characters are so well-written and relatable that all I wanted was for them to find happiness.

  The lighting is wonderfully textured and nuanced, creating spectacle after spectacle. The landscapes, the night sky, and the city streets all possess a surreal quality.

  The non-linear storytelling is confusing…

  The first thing I did after watching this movie is look up "2001 a space odyssey explained" LOL. I did genuinely enjoy the third part of the movie (the HAL part), which had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I thought the music was intense and effective.

  Not a lot of narrative or character work, but the attention to detail in set design and practical effects help make the movie watchable even in 2021. I…
