  Sometimes Soderbergh has to pop out and show ‘em that he’s still the best when it comes to working with movie stars. Loved Marisa Abela in this. I’m dedicated to the ongoing Tom Burke project.

  Parasite-only viewers are about to get a full, uncut dose of Bong. R-Patz must be protected at all costs. The whole cast commits, but I especially enjoyed Naomi Ackie. There’s a bit too much going on, but its a really fun time

  So glad to see Reitman back from the Ghostbusters wilderness. This is sort of like The Player meets Birdman, which feels like the right approach considering the subject matter. 

  Reitman mostly avoids hagiography, although I’m not sure he fully gets there with Lorne (LaBelle, who shows yet another pitch in his growing arsenal, is innocent). 

  The deep cast and the packed script are the strengths here. Old pros show up to toss grenades (JK Simmons as Milton Berle and Matthew Rhys…

  I Saw the TV Glow 2024

  The way Jane Schoenbrun recreated that specific subset of late '90s/early 2000s media aesthetic was impeccable. Some truly nightmarish images here. Also a lot of ideas at play. Might need a second viewing for me to fully gel with the narrative.
