  I am in love with this movie. So much to unpack here but it was just beautiful. Revelling on the past vs living in the now/looking to the future. The perception of love disillusioned by desire and intelligence. Valentina is a brilliant catalyst for the couple wedged between two parallel perceptions on the love they convey. Love it.

  This was beautiful. The cinematography of this film was just superb. An amazing tale of maturity, friendship and betrayal! A tale of how responsibility and the weight of power can mould a person for the worst. Welles did justice to one of my favourite Shakespearean plays. The comedy is a stark contrast to the tragic nature of this story but it's used in such a way that we notice and realise the reality of this historical piece. Brilliant performances and dialogue, i dont think theres a better adaptation!

  Fascinating. A brilliant commentary on the flaws of the western judicial system with a great underlying message of the importance of rationality over emotion. As a species being prone to following facts over feelings makes us blind to the truth. Moving as a flock is dangerous but the power of a free thinker can break the shackles from any man.
