  I don’t know if the horror movie cliches in this movie were before they became a cliche or after. 

  The over serious nature of the film also gives it a one tone feeling- which is alright if you are just looking for a horror flick, but if you’re going into this movie wanting a realistic portrait of how people act and not a dramatized/film version, then this might not be for you

  The simple premise of this movie carries the viewer for the whole movie- escape, that is the goal. A meticulous and well executed film about a man trying to escape prison, showing the minute details of how to do it. The amount of love and care put into this film is amazing. It stands as a must watch film, even if you don’t enjoy “prison break” movies- you’ll find this classic gem gives a new way of presenting an age old story.
