Saw it for the 2nd time on the big screen today and found it as boring as the first time. I had an elder man setting next to me who started crying, so I think I’m gonna give it another shot in 30 years or so.
The images are phenomenal tho. Thats how green is supposed to look like.

So grateful to see this film for the very first time in a theatre and not on a laptop. It was worth the wait! Virtuose cinematography and costume design. I’m slowly getting obsessed with Ed Lachman.

One of the most beautiful works of natural light I saw in a long time. They only had 4 skypanels and an HMI apparently. But I keep asking myself if the cinematography and choices in framing revealed the mediocre acting or not. Can you as a cinematographer mask mediocre acting by using different framing and blocking?

When everybody this year seems te be failing making a musical, Larrain attempted an opera. And he succeeded.
