  I don’t understand why everyone says it is so bad but I have also never seen any other Joker movie. The musical genre is adapted appropriately to the world of the film—the music comes from this dreamlike romantic, comical fantasy world that Arthur creates.

  Truly a comedic masterpiece and totally my type of humor. Fantastic satirical representation of New York in the 80s. Scorsese’s directing and the soundtrack gave the film a dreamy, David-Lynch-on-anti-psychotics feel that makes one wonder whether Paul’s hellish, never-ending night was in fact a nightmare he experienced after falling asleep at his desk. I felt as though the end was a bit too zany as Paul was transformed into a plaster sculpture, but that is my only complaint.
