Portman's performance is truly memorising. An intense film that beautifully articulates the struggle of oppressed lust, rebellion and human connection. Nina constantly places the role of the black swan to those around her who she most hates, and is jealous of. Such a beautiful film that combines witty humour with a commentary on the destruction of war. The idea that war either kills you, or causes you to lose your past self is intertwined with quirky jokes. Definitely recommend!
