Can’t believe the same mastermind who planned the first heist would realistically end up in the multiple situations of this sequel. I hated Nick then and I still hate him now. The first one had the satisfaction of The Usual Suspects, but I just don’t know what they expected us to feel at the conclusion of this one. Wondering if AI helped write it.
The pacing of this movie is exactly on point. It really isn’t predictable, unless you are an uber consumer of crime thrillers. Micheal Keaton played the role of Knox beautifully (which more than makes up for the shxt show that is Beetlejuice 2). Don’t be surprised if you get emotional, despite what Knox does for a living.
Chris Nolan and Jack Snyder have set my bar too high for DC movies, such that movies clearly written for younger audiences and families don’t move me that much anymore. That being said, Blue Beetle is great for providing themes of teamwork and family bonding, mixed in with safe comedy and slapstick violence that should appeal to families and young audiences. Those types of movies are light on plot and big on action and heart strings, as is Blue Beetle.…
