This is a very somber story of a depressed father and his daughter on their last vacation together. It's an every day sort of look at this small chunk of their lives. The father's struggle with depression is so real and raw. Even the daughter hints at her own beginnings of depression. Very good performances by both actors. You forget it's a movie.
I had never heard of this movie until my 20 year old son told me about it. It's fun to see Robert Deniro play this kind of part. And the pairing with Jerry Lewis was especially interesting. I liked the story line and what ultimately happens to Rupert's character in the end. You know it's exactly what he had planned.

The Two Towers drags a bit for me. But so much happens and has to happen, it must be seen. The best part is when Gandolf returns as Gandolf the White! And the Ents are introduced. Such great characters. So there are some very good things to discover in this part.
The first of the trilogy. I believe this is my favorite as it is not all doom and gloom as the other two. From getting to see The Shire and Rivendell, to the Mines of Moria, this is the introduction to Middle Earth and all its inhabitants - good and bad.
