Hit or miss I am a big fan of letting nic cage cook but this was a miss. Story felt a little formulaic, uncreative, and foreshadowing was too predictable. Don't really understand ppl saying it was scary, it was zodiac with a lot more blood and a few jumpy moments...still pretty entertaining but nothing special

A bit of the writing and scenes especially towards the beginning seemed a bit corny, and Zendaya was often unconvincing. Music was loud and abrasive at the front end of the movie when it hadn't built up quite yet. But overall very good and fun

Not to be confused with the more recent and nearly identical Matty film The Beach Bum. Still a perfect and iconic performance from Matty and a perfect movie
