  Performances were terrible, some characters apart from the main two needed more development and the first half of the story was slow with a lot of unnecessary scenes. It improved going into the third act, yet the ending and by the ending i mean the last shot was horrendous.

  So the rating may seem kinda low, it was a great movie tackling a truly important subject in modern history, racism. I will divide my review into the film’s positive and negative aspects. 
  As most of the historical movies you got to at least respect them. They tell important matters in a strong way and solely that already makes it a good movie. I think the portrayal of the county, local police and the klan is great and accurate. Finally…

  Nickel Boys is outstanding. The decision to tell this story from a dual POV perspective enhances the impact of the horrific brutalities the victims suffered at the academy. You rarely see an artistic vision like this, such an original concept, executed flawlessly.
