The Brutalist 2024
I got to see the 70mm version of this, except for about 5 minutes of the dinner party scene when the poor projectionist stuffed it up, but at least the sound was still running and they gave us vouchers to see our next film for free so no hard feelings here. It’s not the most colourful film ever made but the moments of saturated colour that were there looked flipping glorious. Lots of painterly framing and serendipitous bits of light…
