  Nickels Boys tells an interesting story, unfortunately, it's marred by questionable editing decisions. There are media shifts, perspective shifts, and time shifts that, for me, were a distraction. At a certain point, I just want to be told a story.

  It's only January, but Heretic is already a strong contender for my movie of the year. The performances are excellent, the subject is covered in depth, it's unbelievably creepy, and the way it unfolds is satisfyingly unpredictable.
