  The “Sabotage” needle drop is a great moment. And the shot of the original crew with the original theme playing in the background genuinely made me emotional.

  This sincerely has one of my favorite movie intros of all time. It is an incredible degree of wordless storytelling, every second from the giant awakening to the bell falling on Puss’ head. The intensity of the animation, the pace of it all, the music, Banderas’ performance, it tells you everything you need to know about Puss at this point in his life. 

  He is on top of the world. He is loving life. It’s such a brilliant cold open for the character and establishing a starting point for his arc by the end of the movie.
