“actually cried for like 80 percent of this film wtf”

A phenomenal film down to its roots. Speaking as a sucker for coming-of-age stories, Didi excels in its field by focusing on the uglies in a way that isn’t just vivid but bold.
The film is beautifully ”aged” by its attention to detail, from choice of film played at the party or the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it pipe screensaver, a now vestigial technology previously used to prevent screen burn-ins after prolonged usage.
