The Birds 1963
To be fully honest, I didn’t understand shit that was happening. The film ended and I still didn’t pick it up. However…….now I can’t see a bird on the streets without flinching. Even with the funny visual effects, it’s timeless. ALSO thank you Tippi Hedren for representing us crazy divas everywhere.

Uptown Girls 2003
“It’s a harsh world” I wanted to watch this as a comfort movie, but I can’t help to relate to Britany Murphy’s messy, chaotic, spoiled princess act — I too am the princess of questionable decisions. Scream 1996
“I think I’m dying here man” A horror must-watch, ahead of its time. So goofy and obvious, and still works — it’s so clear who Ghostface is yet you’re a bit blinded by it. Iconic deaths, iconic lines, and the best villains of the franchise. A classic, you can’t see it enough.

It’s so much, yet it leaves you wanting more. You know when people talk about gone girl and the virgin suicides as peak womanhood? They’re wrong. *This* is peak womanhood. Laying naked in a cold bathroom floor, facing disgusting men, using your coat as a safe place, binge eating, being a sex toy, being a monster, hating how your red lipstick looks. Recognizing your own body as the source of all horror. Yet, Coralie makes it so interesting to watch…
