FEED came into my life via a screener sent out by Unearthed Films to promote their upcoming bluray release. About halfway through the film I realized I'd watched it before. Back in the mid to late 00's I rented FEED from Hollywood Video. I remember being really disappointed after that first viewing. However, this time around I found the film had stylish editing, an insane color grade, and some sick hacking. Crazy how much we and the way we look at art can change.

I'm a sucker for a killer who films the act. There's a bunch of cool locations, guerrilla shots, and car chases. The Insatiables are the sick 80's band you see in the trailer and I love that Culture Shock included the full Black & White music video on their Bluray release. For as much fun as the first and second act are, the third act is a bit of a slog despite the mostly cool car chase.

The sets don't make sense. Homes are shot in hotels, bars are set in assembly halls, and everything else is in a sex shop. Day and night are irrelevant. Going to work means…
