Visually and atmospherically great. Unfortunately, the acting is stiff and awkward, the story is pretty bare bones and leaves a lot unexplained, and the dialogue lacks any subtext whatsoever. That said, I’ll give some leeway on the last point because it’s an Italian film written in English.
-4 stars for the treatment of cats, + 2 stars because Kazanian got what he deserved.
