Just felt flat on its face for me. Was too long. I didnt really get it in general tbh. Sound design was on point though
Also I know movies and especially animated movies arent cheap to make but geez, the product placement was distractingly blatant

Amazing slapstick and satire of the remnants of fascist influence on democratic spain. Biggest complaint I read from critics was it wasn't faithful to the comics?! First of all who cares, second of all Ive read the comics, they capture the vibe pretty well.

I really enjoyed this movie for most of its runtime. It was really well done in terms of building tension and I was intrigued. I don't feel it really stuck the landing though. The climax feels overlong and maybe this is my fault cause for most of it I was thinking that the "monster" was going to be like a Wizard of Oz type situation, cause of all that stuff in the film about people y'know exploiting horrible violence irl…
