A simple plot handled in a very straight-forward way. No drama, No plot twists, No mind games, just a raw story - as it is, brilliantly executed. A man's pride and ego mixed with the many realities of being poor in this capitalist world, and also how that reality is different for both men and women. A textbook example of intersectionality created by capitalism and patriarchy.

Another W for Basil, he's on a generational run right now.

So I just watched it in the horrible english dub, since korean was unavailable and I was too lazy to search for the sub. Gotta say, even with the sub-par dub, the movie delivered powerful emotions. Seriously, they were butchering the hell out of each and every dialogue, but this still felt like a 5/5. If that's not cinema, then I don't know what is!

ps- felt the ending would have been better if everyone just died. those two should have been shot down. But that's just me I guess 🤷🏻

Ashiq Abu banger after such a long time.
Really good first half with peak buildup, and smooth delivery in second half.

One could argue the second half could have been 'better' with more frontal combat and ammo downpour considering the peak buildup, but I believe doing so would stray away from the core concept of the film.
Keep in mind, the members of the Rifle Club are hunters, not soldiers. The film stays true to the club's ideology of hunting,…
