  Nice visual design and fights.

  Very boring script though... Ridley Scott needs someone who says 'jo' sometimes. It might make the films more focused.

  Sad that a concept with so much inherent conflict and tension, is this boring. Between the poor character motivations and the shallow dynamic between the king and queen, I was happy when it was over.

  Two stars because of the awesome costumes though!

  I did enjoy it on a scene by scene level. The action was raw, the tension powerful and the visual style appealing.

  But.

  Because the makers seem to completely avoid all political themes, the movie ultimately felt unsatisfying. Like my friend said; the story could have been in any country and it wouldn't change the story much
