After watching this for the second time, I can confidently say that I adore how they approached this adaptation. The musical itself became a comfort for me when I first saw it a few years ago, and having it now as a film elevates that comfort to a new level.
I’m so extremely excited for part 2, and am absolutely certain I will be a blubbering mess when we get Cynthia and Ariana’s For Good— a favourite song of mine anyway, but those two together are something magical.
