Adolescence 2025
i… oh… ouch? why did this weirdly feel like watching real life and not a movie? and that’s probably why the ending left me "unsatisfied" in a way. the topics this series brings up are just so frighteningly fresh that it really makes you think. it makes you face the reality of what being a teenager means nowadays.
it made me feel confused and sad, but it made me feel. and that’s the most important thing about art.
(and don’t even start me on the camerawork like it is just insane, i am in awe. )

Stand by Me 1986
I have no idea why, but i loved this movie so freaking much. It has such a weird feeling of nostalgia even though i have never been in America and wasn’t even alive in the 1980s…
it was just so heartwarming to watch this pure childhood friendship, where emotions are completely normalized and excitement is so natural. seeing these boys stick together and find happiness in each other when their lives are hell honestly brought me to tears.
this movie gets a special place in my heart.

Mamma Mia! 2008
it’s so silly. i just had fun watching it. personally not the biggest fan of musicals, so i would’ve dropped the rating, but the vibes are just so good it would be criminal. now i want it to be summer so bad like why would you do this to me… also the songs are so peak even though there’s A LOT.
p.s. Sophie i can treat you better than any man iykwim

The Hunger Games 2012

i am IN LOVE with the idea and the concept. as a person who always liked dystopian fiction, i would’ve just yapped about the moral aspects and deeper meanings of this movie and this universe.
the plot itself is good, very turbulent and emotional. at times i found it cheesy but it was moderate and didn’t ruin the movie.
“that is so fucked up i love it”, definitely watching the other movies.
