The Wizard of Oz 1939
Especially in the context, I can see how wonderful this movie really is. The sets are incredible and such an original plot. It truly is a classic. It also gives the same vibes as charlie & the chocolate factory.

I remember liking this movie when i watched it a few years ago… besides the blatant racism… but this time i was less impressed. scarlett is just SO unlikable. and ashley wilkes is… not that cute. i like that it’s epic and shows pre war, war and post but i feel like the second half lacked the excitement of the first. and also… domestic rape… didn’t like it that much but also in the lens of this movie compared to those of its time, i can see how it SHOT movies leap years ahead of where they were. clark gable is quite good looking too.
