It’s gory, it’s gripping, it’s inconceivably beautiful, it’s complex, it’s occasionally bizarre, it’s very very relevant.

“I didn’t know the forest spirit made the flowers grow” sums up people like nothing else I’ve heard.

    I was not compelled :/
The core duo were cool but I wasn’t convinced by their relationship. Didn’t feel Jackie was in the right, I personally would not put up with that shit. Could we get her backstory too, please? I’d like a reason to like her.

Kinda half-baked melodramatised statement on domestic violence ( I respect not showing scenes but fleshing out the characters more would have been nice), kinda statement on steroids but then stuff got crazy.

    Whack, but sapphics had fun.

LOTS of building up suspense and dramatic pauses, thus I spent a lot of time yelling at the screen. Gollum-Sam-Frodo was also exasperating, both of these factors may have taken me out of the moment a bit.

This is not my favourite of the three but it’s got amazing elements and a great end of an era finish. Highlights include:

Arwen going “you saw my son” hit hard
    Gondor is magnificent
    PEreGRIn TOOK!!!
    Gandalf whacking the silly steward
    That spider…

I confess I was finding this clunky and not so enthralling, there are improvements to be made but then oh my days. The camaraderie.
First time I’ve teared up at a movie in a while.
Yea the boys ( bechdel test is nowhere in sight)
