As a twenty something, there is a warming joy of watching other twenty somethings navigate friendship, impending adulthood, shitty breakups and blossoming friendships. With vibrant colours, British humour and shots that feel somehow nostalgic yet fresh, this is one for the 'need a cheer me up and a good look in the mirror' kind of days.
Very engrossing film with a realistic feeling storyline considering how privileged Creed ended up being compared to Dame. Even if the fight results are predictable, the way they went about it was different enough to keep my brain engaged and the sheer physicality of MBJ and Jonathan Majors is almost enough in of itself.
Started with a good amount of heart and soul, got a bit meh in the middle and felt long, however could fully appreciate the artistry in these moments if not the story, then the end brings you full circle with a lovely message and heartwarming moments, and yes the last montage did make me cry.
Despite the star studded cast the only one who stood out was Ewan McGregor, who I will always have a soft spot for, his narration…
