heath ledger the man you are. i could write REAMS about his acting here, from the gloriously sibilatic vocal tics, to his total and almost jarringly hyper manic movements, he truly is the pinnacle of the film. you find yourself secretly wishing he’d win, if only because he’s so much more fun.
bale, on the other hand, is boring, 2d and abrasive, (partly as a result of the poor writing), dents character shift is bizarre and badly explored, and rachel dawes is yet another pretty brainy lawyer, who’s brains are never shown because she is an accessory!heath ledger though. man, heath ledger.
