  Minding the Gap 2018

  There’s something stunningly honest here. Fantastically empathetic towards difficult characters. Films about ‘cycles of trauma’ feel overplayed now but it handles it more introspectively and unflinchingly (even tackling the friends of the filmmakers own behaviour) than most films. The mountains goats needledrop was a tear jerker for me also because I am in fact a middle aged dad.
