Holy crap... It's hard to find words after seeing this. It was incredible and difficult. The performances, the one-takes, the substance, life, denial, misery, cruelty, and grief displayed—I don't even know what I'm writing... This was some real-life shit. Important shit. Any parent's nightmare, yet necessary to understand how it might be different from your own experiences.

I never liked this movie, even as a 13-year-old. It looked cheap even back then, and I had read the Richard Bachman book and loved it. I thought I should give it another shot, see if I was wrong. I wasn't. It's even worse and more incompetent than I remember.
I'm not one for body shaming, but, my goodness, those costumes aren't doing several of the actors any favors.
The world feels markedly different today than at the start of yesterday, so I felt like watching something profound.
Nothing is perfect, but in all regards of filmmaking, this is as close as it gets, in my not-so-humble opinion.
