Alec Baldwin’s narration is one of my pure joy moments of cinema. I remember seeing this for the time and after the first 15 minutes of him narrating the families history, I was little puddy in Wes Anderson’s hands.

One of the coolest, most assured debut films I’ve ever seen. Wayne Wang is one of the greatest American directors between 1982-1996. His grace with the camera (lingering shots of water, the bridge, open buildings, reminds me of ozu) and the absolute authenticity that his actors show is suburb. He has a special place in my heart when thinking about American film in the 80s/90s, he told stories that we’ve never seen on screen, and the naturalistic approach he takes…

There was something so annoying about this movie.

Millie B Brown is a badddddd actress and a Chris Pratt needs a new agent and a new schtick.

This movie cost 380 million dollars and it’s the most bland piece of crap ive seen in a long time.

    All style ZERO substance
