Death and Transfiguration 1983
A trilogy which, even though I didn’t, should be watched in one sitting. If individually it wasn’t already hard hitting enough.

Nil by Mouth 1997
A kitchen sink drama in its purest form. I feel like Gary Oldman put everything into this being his directorial debut, but also for the fact that it’s depicting such a brutal and real topic maybe somewhat close to home. The Eight Mountains 2022
What a relaxing and poignant film. I loved the cinematography as a whole but I thought the aspect ratio especially added such a clever balance to the story. Having the box frame really pulls you in, amplifying the personal connection Pietro and Bruno have with both the mountains and each other but it also leaves enough room to aesthetically frame the sheer power and beauty of the landscapes. On a side note, that little green car they have when Pietro is younger, I want it.
