Mark Ruffalo impersonating Trump for 137 minutes
Lacks any real depth and just gets exhausting after the umpteenth slapstick joke
Such a heart-wrenching film. It lures you into a false sense of security only to betray you and obliterate your heart into tiny pieces. I could physically feel the anguish that Fernanda Torres (!! how she didn’t win the oscar for this is beyond me) portrays, never allowing the character to break, always remaining strong for her children. Although all her sadness and anger are ready to burst out, they never do, and so they don’t for the audience either, leaving you with a lump in your throat as the unimaginable events play out. Gorgeous stuff, just a bit too long.
