A powerful depiction of three veterans who return from WWII only to find out that life back there is not what they remember and they have to try real hard to fit back into their lives.
They have to face the harsh changes that they didn't expect when they were returning home and the lives that await them are not so welcoming as they expected. As they realize this, they become closer and create a bond very similar to being "brothers-in-arms" back in the military.
The characters and the plot that unfolds around them are highly realistic and well written. Definitely a masterpiece.
