The Triplets of Belleville 2003
Animation is a little disturbing but very unique and refreshing. The color palette was calm and rustic which fit the vibe of the animation very well. Plot was strange and was accompanied very well by the minimal talking that took place. I think the pace was a little slow and the end sequence was a little bit too silly, also the depiction of some of the characters could be seen as insensitive, but overall a good watch. Would recommend just for how NYC is depicted here, so beautiful and almost steampunk.

This movie feels more interested in fabricating a strange, niche vibe than it is about actually going anywhere. Also a lot of the lines feel pretentious and completely meaningless, especially when he references real mathematicians and formulas and patterns like they actually apply to his work.
