My ex boyfriend loves this movie. After we broke up, I realized there's a pathological construct that perfectly fits him: malignant narcissism. No conscience and no capacity for self reflection. First time rewatching it since childhood. I remembered all the violent sequences well, but forgot the opening lore that connects them. A fascinating example of how our ancestors thought, sociologically, intuitively, applying the context of memetic stories and cultural metaphors.
It's strange, but impactful. Worth watching.
