    Seeing this in black and white really emphasized the distraught felt by everyone in cupang. Elsa is helpless and is stuck as a pawn of commoditization and greed, chayong is knee-deep in religious fanaticism and is obsessed with purity, nymia is forced to continue to sell her body despite her previous traumatic experiences as a prostitute.

    I'm going to be honest, this was boring. Now, I wouldn't say that's the biggest crime done unto cinema, but it was a let down. Sepak takraw, the film's title, doesn't even hold any weight in the plot. We don't know if nitoy passed the tryouts, and it literally does nothing for the plot. I don't see how the sport acts as a metaphor too so I'm left unsure of why it was titled after it.
