Incredible.
Magnificent interrogation of slasher troupes.
A lot of slashers predicate on existing fears of lower-class rural people, and their dehumanization. Tucker And Dale, in sophisticated fashion, exposes the fear-mongering nature of slashers and still manages to make a hilarious and thrilling movie with horror tropes.

Longlegs 2024
Longlegs is almost really cool. The sets feel authentic, the cinematography is eerie --often placing much empty space behind characters giving a "something lurking in the background" feeling -- the protagonist has a cool power, but it ultimately loses the thread in the second half.
