French, exquisite colors/sets... an amazing dolly/scooter pull that evokes memories before they happen

Incredibly layered, nuanced (subtle?) story in a 90 minute musical (!!). That's the real masterclass here, on top of everything else.
saw this at cobble hill cinemas and the entire theater was openly giggling at the dance scene... which was really awesome.
a lot of pauses before big moments that signaled "something amazing is about to happen" sucked the expectant-surprise from those same moments. Felt like the movie didn't trust its own storytelling in that way..?
The fact that they took pains to show where everything in Shiz is related to each other etc. felt more for the lego set than for us the audience. Oh well.
The flying around at the end was cool :)
